Cellapy Bio was founded by the researchers of the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience & Biotechnology (KRIBB) in 2018. It is a venture company focused on GRAS(Generally Recognized As Safe) yeast-based protein technology for biopharmaceuticals and bioindustries.

Our technical platform is a TFP technology® for the hyper-secretion of useful proteins in a yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. We produce many recombinant proteins useful for human biopharmaceuticals and animal serum proteins (serum albumin, growth factors, cytokines etc) to make up the serum-free medium for the economical production of cultured meats. In addition, we produce various bio-active novel materials including bio-ceramide and endo-cannabinoids from plant oils by eco-friendly enzyme technology.
